Gay thinks he can replace Bolt as world's fastest man

By Super Admin

London, Aug. 14 (ANI): World sprinting champion Tyson Gay has said that he can smash three-time Olympic champion Usain Bolt's 100 meter world record and replace him as world's fastest man.

"I believe there will be a surprise about how fast a human body can go. The world record is the only number I have in mind," Mirror.co.uk quoted him, as saying.

Gay's face-off with Bolt is scheduled in Berlin this weekend for the best sprinter's title.

Bolt is favourite after his 9.69secs in last year's Olympic final despite slowing down short of the line.

But American Gay boasts the fastest time this year (9.77secs) and says he is in shape to seize the record. (ANI)
