Raipur, Aug 14: The latest Swine flu death has been reported from Raipur taking the country's toll up to 24. A 18-year-old boy reportedly succumbed to the H1N1 Virus on Thursday, Aug 13.
The latest victim identified to be Sitaram Varma is the first Swine flu fatality reported from Chhattisgarh. According to hospital sources, the boy was suffering from pneumonia and throat infection making him more vulnerable to death.
Earlier, 70-year-old Parubhai Shinde died of Swine flu in Pune. She had was admitted to the hospital four days ago when she reported symptoms like high fever and other symptoms related to the H1N1 influenza.
