Children spread message of peace through drama in Assam

Guwahati, Aug 14 (ANI): Child artistes in Guwahati spread the messages of peace through the medium of drama at a recent three-day theatre festival.

The young artistes expressed their thoughts on how humanity suffers irrespective of caste, creed or gender due to violence.

Organised by the National school of Drama (NSD) in collaboration with Kalakshetra in Guwahati, the "Children Theatre festival", highlighted current strife in the society and how drama can play a role in bringing about peace and normalcy to the region.

The main aim of the festival was to encourage children to showcase their artistic talents. They also expressed their thoughts on contemporary issues through scripts.

"The main objective of our workshop is to bring awareness about the society to the children so that they can express their views about it through Drama. This will allow children to express their thoughts and views of the current scenario through this medium," said, Manish, NSD official, Guwahati.
