Rawalpindi, Aug 12 (ANI): A madrassa teacher allegedly thrashed a nine-year-old student with an iron rod before burning his hands with cigarettes.
According to the Daily Times, Zaheer Hussain, of Dhoke Kangal, said his nephew Asif, 9, complained that his teacher Hafiz Majeed and senior student Khizar beat him up badly with an iron rod. The kid also said that his hands were burnt with cigarettes and that he was forced to spend a night in a dark room.
Asif, a student at a Navy Road madrassa, had been accused of stealing a computer.aheer said his brother found the boy crying in pain, when he went to pick him up from the madrassa.
He also said the child had wounds and bruises all over his body.
The police have started investigating the case. The child has been admitted to the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for medical tests. (ANI)
