Islamabad, Aug. 12 (ANI): The Pakistan Government has decided to restructure the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).
According to sources, the process includes bringing in more 'energetic' and 'dedicated' officials.
About 32 officials of the rank of brigadier and colonel have been retired and several more officials who have 'failed to prove their utility' will be shown the door.
Defence Ministry sources claim the ISI has been expanded out of proportion.
Several officials, after retirement, joined the agency again and obtained an agreement to continue in it for years, The News quoted sources, as saying.
The retrenchment could last for two years, they added.
They denied that the restructuring process was being formalized under. (ANI)
