New Delhi, Aug 10: Addressing the media on Monday, Aug 10 Health Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad revealed the there are about 864 positive Swine Flu or H1N1 cases reported in India so far.
Stating that some of these cases were detected in the Airports during screening, the minister said that more screen equipments will be purchased by the government, along with more testing kits.
He informed that the private hospitals who have the capacity to test and treat Swine Flu have already been given guidelines for the same.
However, contrary to few media reports that the government is mulling over the possibility of selling the Swine flu drug in private hospitals and pharmacies, Mr Azad ruled out open sale of drugs.
While releasing a health bulletin on the Swine Flu situation in the country, the Mr Azad said that the ministry is starting a dedicated website providing all the necessary information on swine flu to the people.
