'UFO' makes surprise appearance during live TV broadcast!
London, Aug 7 (ANI): A mysterious flying object, believed to be a UFO, was captured flying across the screen during a live TV broadcast.
The object was captured as BBC Look North's Colin Briggs read the breakfast headlines in front of a screen showing live webcam footage of the River Tyne in central Newcastle.
The eerie glowing disc hurtled across the River Tyne towards the city's Gateshead Millennium Bridge as rush-hour commuters headed for work.
Former Ministry of Defence UFO expert Nick Pope said aliens could not be ruled out.
"It is almost certainly not a meteor or fireball," the Daily Star quoted him as saying.
"At first I thought it was a bird, but I didn't see any of the flapping that you would expect. This flies in the face of the assumption that UFOs are only seen in open countryside," he added.
A spokeswoman for BBC said: "The mystery has certainly captured viewers' imagination with over 200,000 watching the clip on our website." (ANI)
