Taliban chief's wife killed in suspected US drone
Peshawar, Aug 5: The wife of Pakistani Taliban chief Baitullah Mehsud was one of three killed on Wednesday, Aug 5 by a suspected US drone attacks in South Waziristan tribal region, relative of Mehsud said.
The relative said, "Mehsud's wife was also among the dead. I confirm that the woman who was killed in the strike was the wife of Baitullah Mehsud," the relative, who did not want to be identified, told news agencies by telephone. He also said four children were among the wounded.
It was unknown that whether Mehsud was present when the missiles struck a house belonging to his father-in-law in Makeen.
