Actor Emran Hashmi denied a house as he's a muslim
Mumbai, Jul 31: The popular Bollywood actor, Emran Hashmi has alleged that he was denied a house in Nibbana Cooperative Society because he was a Muslim.
When the actor approached the Pali Hill society looking to buy a house, he was reportedly asked to go and look elsewhere. In the housing society, there are mostly Hindus and a few Catholic families, Emran Hashmi says.

members
and
the
residents
that
there
was
no
space
for
him
there
specifically
because
he
was
a
Muslim.
The actor has filed a complaint against the society with the State Minorities' Commission demanding action against the members. Maharashtra Minorities Commission vice-chairman Abraham Mathai has said that a notice has been sent to the society.
