Sonia backs PM on Indo-Pak statement

New Delhi, Jul 30: Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday, Jul 30 supported Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on the issue Indo-Pak joint statement and said there should no confusion or misunderstanding on it among the party members.

"Till Pakistan shows concrete steps on anti-terror front there is no point of dialogue," she told a Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) meeting here, a day after the Prime Minister addressed Parliament on the issue of the joint statement with Pakistan in Egypt.

However, Sonia added that the resumption of dialogue with the Pakistan depends on action against perpetrators of Mumbai terror attacks adding, "Action by Pakistan against 26/11 perpetrators is must for resumption of talks."
