Govt. has given proof to India, Afghanistan over Baloch unrest: Malik
Islamabad, July 25 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Advisor Rehman Malik has reiterated that Islamabad has handed over proofs to the Indian and Afghan governments regarding their involvement in fanning unrest in Balochistan.
Responding to a query in the Upper House of Parliament, Malik said:
"I myself in a meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Kabul provided him proofs regarding three training camps in Afghanistan where Baloch insurgents are being trained."
He said Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had taken up the issue with his Indian counterpart Dr.Manmohan Singh during their meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh.
Malik ruled out any possibility of granting 'freedom' to Balochistan, saying talks will be held with only those who believed in Pakistan's Constitution.
"The government wants to bring the annoyed people of Balochistan into mainstream through dialogue," The News quoted Malik, as saying.
He assured the house that all 14 points recommended by an earlier parliamentary committee on Balochistan would be implemented as soon as possible. (ANI)
