Shopian: Militants kill 3 year old and father

Srinagar, Jul 24: After the Shopain Double Murder case, Kashmir's Shopian sees violence again. Militants reportedly gunned down a three year old child and the child's 30 year old father in their own home.

In the incident that took place in the Pehlipora Dinaro village, the militants walked into the house of Mohammad Aslam Awan's house and fired indiscriminately at the inmates killing him and his 3 year old child, said the police.

"They came at eight pm and broke the door. They told me to take away the child as we have to kill your husband. And then they fired, killing the child and my husband," said Skina, Muhammad Aslam's wife.

When the militants attacked last time, they killed Awan's mother, she said.

After registering a case, the police have launched operations to bring the guilty to the justice, while security in the area has been tightened.

However, this incident is received differently from the Shopian Double Murder. Even though a toddler was killed by Militants, there is no signs of protests and the people are going about their normal business.
