Mob molests woman on the streets of Patna

Patna, Jul 24: A mob allegedly molested a woman on the streets for 20 minutes in broad daylight at the Exhibition Road of Bihar"s capital Patna on Thursday, Jul 23.

According to the accounts of eye witnesses, the woman who was sitting in a restaurant with a male friend was blamed by someone there for stealing. The owner who heard this handed over the woman to a mob out on the street.

The video of this incident shows that not even one person from the crowd gathered outside the hotel tried to help her or stop the mob. The visuals also show that the miscreants were trying to tear the clothes off the helpless woman.

According Zee News' report, the Patna police arrested the owner and manager of Bob Hotel where the incident took place. The man who accompanied the woman to the hotel too has been arrested.

This incident not only draws attention to the plight of women in the country, but also shows the states poor law and order situation.
