London, July 24 (ANI): The father of lost Brit backpacker Jamie Neale is said to be at war with his son, after he was cut out of a 50,000-pound TV deal.

Neale, 19, was paid 50,000 pounds by Australian TV current affairs show 60 Minutes to recount his extraordinary 12 days lost in the bush, and when he refused to split the money, Richard Cass is said to have been furious.

Cass, who joined the desperate hunt for his son, claims they agreed to split the fee, and donate some to the mountain rescue charity, which helped the search.

But Cass, who has flown back to the UK, allegedly had a "serious fall out" with Neale when he said he was keeping the money, and now plans to expose his son as a money-grabber.

"Richard is ashamed of his son's behaviour. He feels like he's been kicked in the teeth," the Sun quoted a source as saying.

Neale, from Muswell Hill, North London, needed hospital treatment after surviving on berries in the Blue Mountains 70 miles west of Sydney.

On July 23, Neale's mum Jean blasted estranged husband Crass for his behaviour.

"His behaviour is outrageous," she said.

"He phoned me yesterday to say he was selling his story because he was angry Jamie is refusing to share the money with him," she added. (ANI)
