Blind border collie has his own guide dog

Perth, July 24 (ANI): A blind border collie is said to have overcome some of his difficulties by having a guide dog of his own.

According to the Daily Mail, the two, named Bonnie and Clyde, have become inseparable and do all the everyday activities together, including eating, sleeping and going for walks.s two-year-old Clyde is blind, he relies on fellow border collie Bonnie to guide him to water and food.

Cherie Cootes from the Meadow Green Dog Rescue Centre in the eastern England township of Loddon said there was no way she could allow someone to separate the pair.

"Clyde relies on Bonnie the whole time," Perth Now quoted Cootes as saying.

"When she walks she tends to stop and make sure he's there - she does look out for him.

"They really are the most lovely pair of dogs.

"They've got very nice manners and they walk well on the lead. They really are a very sweet pair of dogs," she added.

She said if the five-year-old Bonnie were not there to help him, Clyde would not move a paw.

The pair had been rescued as strays three weeks ago by animal welfare officers in Loddon. (ANI)
