New Delhi, Jul 23: Although the Supreme Court has adjourned the hearing of the gas supply dispute between the RIL and RNRL till Sep 1, the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has asked the Petroleum Ministry to sought comments on the issues raised by the Anil Ambani in his letter to Prime Minister.

Sources said that the PMO has sought comments from the Petroleum Ministry on the allegation made by the Anil Ambani in his letter and his accusation that the Oil Ministry was siding with Mukesh Ambani.

A senior Petroleum Ministry said, "There are many options that are being looked into, but the final call on the issue will be taken only after we come to know the outcome of the case on September 1. But one thing is very clear, this gas is a natural asset and there is no question of allowing it to become a subject of private dispute."

The Anil Ambani's letter had sought direction to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas to cease from overtly and covertly attempting to intervene in the family dispute with RIL. The letter came after the ministry had filed a petition seeking a direction to declare the family agreement on gas supply made between the Ambanis as 'null and void'.
