London, July 22 (ANI): A couple who share their name are all set to share their lives too-they are tying the knot after first meeting on Facebook.
The duo met the social networking site when they found that they had identical names.
Bride-to-be Kelly Hildebrandt is all set to exchange vows with Kelly Hildebrandt when they get married in Florida later this year.
She revealed that she was curious and bored one night last year, and thus typed her name into Facebook just to see if anyone shared it, and romance blossomed thereafter.
When Kelly put her name in Facebook, Kelly Hildebrandt, of Lubbock, Texas, was the only match and she immediately sent him a message.
"Hi. We had the same name. Thought it was cool," the Daily Express quoted her as saying in the message.
Kelly (male) said: "I thought she was pretty cute."
And there was also a concern.
"I thought, man, we've got to be related or something," he said.
For the next three months the two exchanged emails, which went on to occasional phone calls that turned into daily chats, sometimes lasting hours.
He visited her in Florida after a few months and "fell head over heels".
"I thought it was fun. I had no idea that it would lead to this," he said of the first online encounter.
And months after Kelly sent her first email, she found a diamond engagement ring hidden in a treasure box on a beach in December.
While she's a student at a local community college, her would be hubby works in financial services and are thinking of settling down in South Florida.
The couple, both in their 20s, are expected to get married in October at the Lighthouse Point Yacht and Racquet Club in South Florida, in a ceremony attended by just over 100 guests. (ANI)
