London, July 22 (ANI): Patrizia D'Addario, the Bari prostitute who claims to have recorded footage that proves her encounters with Silvio Berlusconi, was apparently paid 1,000 euros to attend one of the Italian PM's parties and promised a gift if she stayed for a night.
Berlusconi's private life came under the spotlight when fresh audiotapes of his alleged encounter with D'Addario at his Rome residence were posted on the Internet.
The Italian daily La Repubblica and its sister weekly, L'Espresso, published bits and bobs of the alleged bedroom conversation between Berlusconi and D'Addario.
D'Addario claims to have made the recordings during two visits that she made to Palazzo Grazioli, Berlusconi's Rome residence.
In one of the clips, D'Addario and a man who allegedly paid her to sleep with the prime minister purportedly discuss the terms of the encounter.
The entrepreneur, alleged to be Gianpaolo Tarantini, purportedly tells D'Addario that Berlusconi "is not taking you as a call girl ... he's taking you as a friend of mine that I brought along".
Apparently, Tarantini recruited girls for Berlusconi's parties.
Dating back to October 2008, the first recording was allegedly made as D'Addario prepared to head towards Palazzo Grazioli for a party along with several other girls, reports The Telegraph.
In the recording Giampaolo apparently tells the escort girl: "I just wanted to tell you that ... at 9.15 a driver will come by to pick you up and we will go there,"
She replies: "It's 1,000 [euros] for the night."
Tarantini says: "I've already given you 1,000 and if you decide to stay with him ... he will give you a present."
Berlusconi has rubbished the claims that he had sex, insisting he does not understand how "people could pay for sex without the thrill of the conquest".
His lawyer has dismissed the tapes as fabricated. (ANI)
