Washington, Jul 20: The world is celebrating the 40th anniversary what is widely construed as the biggest achievement by mankind- landing on the moon.
It was 40 years ago, on July 20, 1969 that Neil Armstrong and then Buzz Aldrin set out on a voyage beyond the sky to successfully walk on the moon.
In celebration of the Apollo 11 voyage, NASA has launched what is called multimedia celebrations which includes the audio and video clips of the journey along with interactive 360-degree photos of the landing site.
Apollo Anniversary features can be accessed on NASA's website.
Even as NASA celebrates this day, there are still many among us who believe that the voyage was a hoax. However, this does not stop the astronauts and the space scientists from aiming further and higher. Reports say that man's next destination is the Mars.
