Sydney, July 19 (ANI): Shane Warne has reportedly paid a whopping 3.35 million dollars for a property in the Melbourne suburb of Sandringham, on Port Phillip Bay.
It is believed that Warne and former wife Simone Callahan planned to build a family home on the property following reports their rollercoaster relationship had been revived, reports the Sydney Morning Herald.
While the split-level brick home will be demolished, Warne is believed to have plans to sub-divide and develop the 2600-square-metre site.
Warne's agent bought the property last weekend as the cricket legend flew from Las Vegas' World Series of Poker to cover the second Ashes Test in England.
The spin great has made a series of property deals in Brighton over the past decade. He paid 3.7 million dollars for a Park Street property in 2007, then built a three-level residence with tennis court, pool and cubby house for his children.
Callahan lives nearby, but has also proved a savvy property investor. Last year, she sold a development in Brighton for 4 million dollars, after buying the land for less than 2 million dollars in 2006.
An agent for Buxton Real Estate at Brighton, Bert Stewart, refused to confirm the buyer's identity. (ANI)
