Google launches voice search on mobiles
New Delhi, Jul 18: Google India has launched mobile internet search facility that will be available to the BlackBerry users as of now. The company is expected to extended mobile internet search facility to other handsets by end of 2009.
This adds on to the mobile initiatives of the internet giant in India. The new development comes after the SMS based search engine services.
This was reportedly built on entirely by the internet search giant"s India engineering team.
The facility will show results just like the PC-based search. After the user logs on to the internet, he/she just has to open the Google page and say the seach term and the phone will show results.
The service is still in the Beta stage and the developers have trouble in terms of different accent and pronunciation of Indians.
