FIR against BSP MLA for burning Rita Joshi's house

Lucknow, Jul 18: Even though Mayawati denied that Bahujan Samajwadi Party (BSP) had anything to do with the vandalism at Rita Bahuguna Joshi's house, a ruling BSP MLA and the party's Lucknow district unit president have been accused of burning and ransacking Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee Chief's house on Wednesday, Jul 15.

The police have reportedly registered a case against MLA Jitendra Singh and BSP's Lucknow unit president Intezar Abdi on Saturday, Jul 18.

After UPCC Chief's alleged hate speech against the party supremo, Mayawati; her house was burnt and ransacked on Wednesday, Jul 15. Rita Bahuguna Joshi invited this anger for making a insulting remark against the Chief Minister while talking about the financial relief given to the rape victims of the state.

Responding to these remarks, Mayawati demanded for an apology from Congress President, Sonia Gandhi and denied that BSP workers or members has anything to do with the arson that followed. She even said that the violence at Rita Bahuguna Joshi's house was staged by Congress.
