Bangladesh nabs Indian militant linked with Dawood

Dhaka, Jul 18: Indian militant, Mufti Obaidullah who is labelled as the 'one of the most wanted Indian terrorists' has been nabbed, claim Bangladesh authorities.

According to media reports, Obaidullah has links with Pakistan-based terrorist groups as well as underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. The terrorist who was brought before the media on Friday, Jul 17 has reportedly admitted that his task was to organise 'jihad' under instructions from Amir Reza, leader of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The man who has been in Bangladesh since 1995 has been part of terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir as well as attacks in other cities. He claims to have evaded arrest and left India in 1994.

Bangladesh police who said that they tracked down Obaidullah based on the confessions made by Abdur Rauf Daud Merchant, another of Dawood Ibrahim's men; also informed that there are at least four more Indian militants in the country.
