Q1: HDFC net profit up by 30 pc
Mumbai, Jul 14: HDFC bank has posted a 30.53 per cent increase in net profit for the quarter ended Jun 30, 2009.
In its filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange, the private lender posted its net profit for Q1 at Rs 606.11 crore. The bank's total income rose 22 per cent, o Rs 5,136.75 crore as opposed to the corresponding quarter of the previous year which was at Rs 4,215.15.
The bank also posted a rise in the interest income which went up by 13 pc t to Rs 4,093.10 crore and interest expenditure stood at Rs 2,237.52, accounting for a raise of 18 per cent.
