Brit boxer to be questioned following collision with a teen cyclist

By Super Admin

Bolton, July 14 (ANI): British boxer Amir Khan would be questioned by police after he collided with a teen cyclist, who had been trying to keep up with the boxing star's luxury car.

The incident had happened when the 22-year-old was driving his white Range Rover back to his home in Bolton on Sunday, The Daily Star reports.

According to reports, the 14-year-old boy had suffered head injuries after being thrown from the mountain bike.

A witness had notified after the accident that Khan had stopped his car to check the victim and said: "He seemed very concerned and stood over the cyclist, talking to him all the time. He crouched down by him at one stage."

Meanwhile, Khan's training camp is hoping that the inquiries does not hamper his preparations for Saturday's WBA light-welterweight title fight against Ukrainian champion Andreas Kotelnik.

It is the third time in two years Khan has been involved in motoring incidents.

Earlier, he was banned from road for six months and fined 1,000 pounds, after being convicted of careless driving in 2007. (ANI)
