Recession: Indians open restaurants for Londoners
London, Jul 12: Indian entrepreneurs in abroad have entered to open new restaurants to provide authentic Indian food to Londoners due to global economic slowdown.
One of recent restaurants is 'Masala World', owned by Ranjit mathrani and Namita Panjabi which is already one of the favourite Indian restaurants in London such as 'Chutney Mary', 'Veeraswamy' and 'Amaya'.
Celebrities such as actress Gwyneth Paltrow; socialite Jemima Khan, former wife of Pakistani cricketer-turned politician Imran Khan; Fabio Capello, Manager of England National Football team; John McEnroe, former Tennis ace; and actor Ryan Phillippe are recent visitors of these restaurants
Ranjit Mathrani, Chairman of Masala World, said, "The site of the new restaurant is located at a place which was formerly a bank. It will entertain diners against the vibrant backdrop of an exotic pop art collage of firecracker labels from Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu, home to the world's second largest printing press."
