Washington, Jul 4: Sarah Palin who took the centre stage during the US presidential elections as the Republican vice presidential candidate, has reportedly revealed that she will resign from the Governor of Alaska post on Jul 26.
According to media reports, Palin who announced that she is stepping down as the governor has also said that she will not seek re-election as governor next year.
The 45 year old politician said, "This decision came after much consideration," and added that she really did not want to disappoint anyone.
The announcement which came as a surprise even to her advisers has brewed speculations that she is planning to bounce back on 2012 as a presidential candidate. She, however, has not cited any reasons for the step.
