Air Corporation Employees Union leader said, "We are discussing the issue and will announce our future course of action in case the management fails to honour its commitment of paying salaries to the lower category of employees by July 3."
The unions are alleging that the management had earlier agreed to pay Grade 1-9 employees of Air India and Grade 1/2 and 3/6 of Indian but have now said it won't happen for a few more days.
While, Air India said it has taken adequate steps to ensure smooth operations across airports in view of the proposed two-hour agitation by a section of its employees to protest delay in payment of salaries.
Air India has also issued a warning to striking employees. The airline said that employees who go on strike will face deduction in salaries.
