AI makes emergency landing in Nagpur

Nagpur, Jul 3: An Air India flight flying from Kochi to Delhi made an emergency landing due to technical problem, said airport sources.

Sources also said that the flight developed an engine trouble and made emergency landing. There were 151 passengers and six crew members in the aircraft.

Kerala chief minister V S Achuthanandan , state home minister Kodiyari Balakrishnan and water resources minister, M K Premchandran were also among the passengers.

I A Dhas, area marketing manager of Indian Airlines said, "The flight IC 466 landed around 10:00 am and a relief aircraft has been asked to take the passengers." Dhas also said, "The VVIPs were accommodated in the lounge while passengers were shifted to a nearby hotel."
