MJ's Fans frown as Neverland funeral gets canceled
Los Angeles, Jul 2: The fans who were all ready to bid adieu to their pop icon Michael Jackson at the Neverland Ranch for the last time were left feeling disappointed as the public viewing of the burial was called off on Wednesday, Jul 1.
The Jackson family has reportedly called off the plans and has not revealed any alternative plans, say few media reports. According to the Los Angeles Times, the burial that was set to take place at Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos after officials failed to overcome regulations concerning burials on private property.
Either way, the fans will not get to say their last good byes to their favourite pop star. The funeral that would been a great event with the gathering of millions of fans will now be limited to a family event.
Celebrity funeral have always been awe inspiring events with fans coming together to mourn the demise. Recently the world saw such a gathering at Jade Goody's funeral. When it comes to musician deaths, the funerals of great icons like Queen's Freddie Mercury, and that of the King of Rock n Roll, Elvis Presley have been monumental ones.
