New Delhi, Jul 1: Home Minister, P Chidambaram has revealed that according to Intelligence inputs the West Coast of India may be under the terror radar, and has therefore put the states on alert.

While opening the regional hub of NSG in Hyderabad the Home Minister said, "There is an input that there could be a threat to the west coast. We have, therefore, shared it with (the governments of) Gujarat, Goa and Maharashtra. But that does not mean that there is an imminent attack,"

He noted that as per a new practice established recently the centre shares the intelligence inputs will all the states immediately.

Even at the opening of the NSG hubs in Chennai and Mumbai, he pointed out that setting up of NSG units did not mean there was an increase in terror threat to the country.
