Chennai, Jun 29: The Directorate of Tamil Nadu Medical Education released the rank list of the MBBS and BDS admissions on Friday, Jun 26 which revealed an interesting outcome- the top nine of the ranks are all secured by students who have scored full marks that is 200 out of 200.
The results that have come out a day ahead of their schedule is available on www.tnhealth.org.
When asked about the unprecedented outcome of all the toppers scoring the same marks, other criteria such as date of birth were used to rank them, Health Secretary VK Subburaj, who released the list.
A total of 12,274 candidates sought admission for the MBBS/BDS courses. There are 1,483 seats in government medical colleges and 348 seats are part of the government quota in private medical colleges, 560 seats are available with private, self-financing medical colleges in the State of Tamil Nadu.
The first phase of counselling will begin on July 4 and go on till July 9.
