Lahore, June 27 (ANI): The son of former Pakistan cricket coach Bob Woolmer, Dale Woolmer, has praised captain Younis Khan for dedicating the ICC Twenty20 Championship win to his late father.
In his statement, Woolmer junior thanked the Pakistan skipper for remembering his father.
"Dedicating the Cup to my father is very sweet and lovely," The Dawn quoted Woolmer, as saying.
Recalling his father's stint with the Pakistan team, he said his father always used to mention that Pakistan players had the ability to outclass any team, and become the world's best cricket team.
"My father used to say that Pakistan can be the best team if they believe in themselves," Woolmer said.
Referring to the refusal of foreign teams to visit Pakistan due to precarious security conditions, Woolmer urged the cricket fraternity to revive the sport in the country as soon as possible.
"It is very important for Pakistan cricket that foreign teams should visit Pakistan to play cricket. I hope the matter of foreign teams' visit to Pakistan will be sorted out soon," he said. (ANI)
