U'khand: Pokhriyal to be sworn in as CM on Jun 27
New Delhi, Jun 27: Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank will be sworn in as the new Chief Minister of Uttarakhand on Saturday, Jun 27.
The writer - journalist turned politician, will be the state's fifth chief minister. He will be sworn in by state Governor BL Joshi in Dehradun.
Pokhriyal was elected leader of the BJP Legislative Party after the resignation of BC Khanduri.
He staked a claim to form the new government after Khanduri resigned owning moral responsibility for the BJP's poor performance in the recent general election in Uttarakhand.
