Charges against Ash for illegal purchase of land

Nashik, Jun 24: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is now in the limelight for illegal purchase of land in North Maharashtra.

A police complaint has been registered against the Bollywood actress along with others including Suzlon company Chairman Tulsibai Tanti in Nandurbar in the interiors of Maharashtra.

The lands which belongs to the farmers and the tribals of the region was acquired by Suzlon Energy Ltd for its windmill projects.

Suzlon brought the lands for prices as low as Rs 7,000 per acre before selling it to celebrities like Aishwarya Rai, Twinkle Khanna, and Sachin Tendulkar. The company reportedly sold the lands to the celebrities for hefty prices.

The non conventional energy minister Vinay Kore ordered a probe into the matter.
