Pakistan will make a smooth transition to Test mode, says Alam

By Super Admin

London, June 22(ANI): Twenty20 world champions, Pakistan's coach Intikhab Alam, has expressed confidence in his team to make a smooth transition from the slam-bang version of the game to the Test mode in time to make a dynamic start to their tour of Sri Lanka scheduled later this month.

"There is not much time because we will be leaving for Sri Lanka three days after reaching home from here. But I'm confident we will be ready for the Test series against Sri Lanka," The News quoted Alam, as saying.

However, he has ruled out the possibility of holding a short training camp before the tour, saying that it would be better if his players get a break.

Pakistan is scheduled to return home from London on Monday, and will have a three day break before their trip which will begin from June 27.

They will play three Tests, five One-day Internationals and a Twenty20 International during the 45-day tour that will stretch till August. (ANI)
