Fire guts out 200 shanties in Mumbai slum, 15 hurt
Mumbai, Jun 18: A fire broke in the slum next to the Bandra railway station in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday, Jun 18 injuring at least 15 people and about 200 shanties were gutted.
According to media reports, the fire broke at around 4 am in Garib Nagar. Rescue operations have started off and twenty-five fire fighters, 16 water tanks and four ambulances have been deployed in order to contain the damage to life and property.
Those injured in the fire are receiving treatment at Bandra's Baba Hospital.
