London, June 18 (ANI): While preparing Asda curry sauce for her children, Cate Barrett, a British mom, found dead mouse in the tikka masala jar.
Following the discovery, nursery worker Cate, of St Austell, Cornwall, called out her boyfriend, Nigel Northey who hurried to the kitchen.
"I wondered if we had too many vegetables in the pan. Then I saw whiskers, legs, and a tail. It gave me a real fright," The Sun quoted her as saying.
The 37-year-old man picked up the rodent by its tail and took it back to the store from where they had bought the 1.49-pound packaged food.
The company has apologised and launched an inquiry with health officials.
"We couldn't face dinner after that. We went without - although Nigel said that we should cook some ratatouille," Cate added. (ANI)
