Lahore terror attack was aimed at striking ISI building, claims Minister
Lahore, June 16 (ANI): The Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has claimed that terrorists had targeted the Lahore office of the Inter-Services Intelligence in the May 27 bomb and suicide attack.
He was speaking during the Punjab Assembly's 13th session.
Answering opposition members' queries on the possibilities of a security lapse, he said proper security measures had been taken after Interior Ministry's warnings of possible terrorist attacks on the facility.
The Daily Times quoted Sanaullah, as saying that the stringent security measures had prevented the terrorists from striking the ISI building.
He added that investigations were underway and the Punjab government had taken further measures to ensure foolproof security at sensitive installations. (ANI)
