New Delhi, June 11 (ANI): Senior BJP functionary Vinay Katiyar said on Thursday that the Bill on women's reservation was not acceptable to him.
He opposed the present structure of Women's Reservation Bill, saying that, if passed, it will benefit only a few.
"Only a few percent of people will benefit from this bill. More than 90 percent will not avail any benefit. If the bill is passed in the present form then there will be anarchy in the country and there will be protests on the streets," said Katiyar.
Kaityar was of the view that political parties should not issue a whip when the Bill is put to vote in Parliament.
"No political party -- be it BJP, Congress, the Left or the regional parties -- should issue a whip on the Women's Reservation Bill when it is put to vote. There should be an open discussion with an open mind on it," Katiyar said. (ANI)
