New Delhi, Jun 9: After Mulayam Singh Yadav, its Lalu Prasad Yadav's turn to raise opposition to the Women's reservation bill. RJD supremo on Tuesday, Jun 9 termed the bill a conspiracy against the regional parties.
Lalu Prasad Yadav too took Sharad Yadav's stance on giving space to provide quotas for for the scheduled castes, scheduled tribes, OBCs and minorities. He warned that major changes will take place if this was not considered and implemented.
Alleging that the Women's Reservation Bill would prevent the development of backward sections and 'finish' the regional parties, Lalu said, "These (backward) sections need to be represented... and therefore we must have quota within the quota."
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh too expressed similar notions about the bill.
