Pakistan must defeat Netherlands by 60 runs to remain alive in T20 World Cup

By Super Admin

London, June 9 (ANI): Pakistan is on the verge of being eliminated from the ICC Twenty20 Championship, as they now need to win their match against The Netherlands by 60 runs to keep their hopes alive in the tournament.

The team has its task cut out, and the players would need to perform out of their skins as Dutch morale is on a high after their win against England.

The Netherlands would be eyeing another upset.

Pakistan captain Younis Khan has called his senior players to rise to the occasion and perform to their potential.

"Hopefully, the senior guys will come forward and do a job for our team. It's the only chance we have," The Daily Times quoted Khan, as saying.

He is aware of the challenge posed by the men in Orange, and is expecting the game to be 'hard work'.

However, it seems that Khan does not attach much importance to Twenty20 cricket, as he termed this bang-bang version of the game as mere 'fun'.

"Twenty20 cricket is fun cricket, it's more for entertainment, even if it is international cricket. I have never attached too much importance to Twenty20 cricket. I hope we will beat Holland convincingly to avoid elimination," he said. (ANI)
