Infosys BPO expects FY10 revenue up 10-15 pc
Bangalore, Jun 9: The business process outsourcing (BPO) subsidiary of Infosys Technologies expects revenue to rise 10 to 15 pc in the year Mar 2010. However, the Chief Executive Amitabh Chaudhry said that pricing is under pressure.
"Clients are under pressure anyway so they are putting pressure across the board," Chaudhry said. He added that the outsourcing business environment would remain uncertain for the next 12 to 18 months as western clients struggle.
"Maybe we are near the bottom, how long we will remain at the bottom God only knows," said Chaudhry. Several of India's back-office outsourcing firms so far thrived by providing Western firms with services such as processing insurance claims, managing payrolls and customer support. But the boom in BPO was badly hit by the global economic crisis.
