London, June 9 (ANI): A Brit cosmologist suggests that scientists searching for aliens in space instead focus their hunt on the Earth itself.
Prof Paul Davies has said that the extraterrestrial creatures would be totally different from life that exists on our planet.
Settled in Arizona, Davies has suggested that the outlandish creatures might not have DNA, which means that they would not have been found by usual life-detection techniques.
In fact, he called for searches for "weird life" in inhospitable places, such as hot, undersea vents.
Davies said that finding alternative life "would be the biggest discovery in biology since Darwin and evolution," reports The Sun. (ANI)
