London, June 5 (ANI): In what may be called a very unusual happening, a triplet from Michigan has given birth to her own set of three baby boys.
Amber Ali, 23, flanked by her triplet sisters Asia and Ashley as she held her newborn triplet sons-Amir, Armann and Amari Whitaker-whom she gave birth in Sinai-Grace hospital in Detroit.
Amir was 4lb 5oz at birth, Amari 4lb 3oz, and Armann 3lb 12oz.
The babies will remain in hospital until their strength is built up.
Amber said that she was desperate to take the tots home.
"It's going to be fun," Sky News quoted her as telling local newspaper The Detroit News.
The young mother revealed that during her pregnancy, "it felt like 10 in there."
Her husband Andre Whitaker was extremely happy about the birth of their sons.
He revealed that Amir and Armann were identical, and that Amari looked exactly like his mother.
Andrea Coleman, the doctor who delivered the babies, said that it was not the easiest of labours.
"It's a bit of a production when you're talking multiples but it's a nice one," she said.
Amber, who was the middle triplet, revealed that as a child she and her siblings slept in dresser drawers.
However, her babies will have bassinettes, nameplates, and top-of-the-range strollers. (ANI)
