New Delhi, Jun 5: Police said that Mohammed Omar Madni, a Pakistani national and suspected Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) terrorist who was arrested on Thursday, Jun 4 is a top aide of Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Mohammad Saeed.
Madni was arrested by the Delhi police's elite anti-terror wing Special Cell from near the Qutab Minar in South Delhi. Police said that Saeed's top aide has been operating from Nepal from the past one year.
Madni was with Saeed since 2000 and was involved in 'talent scouting' for the Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) outfit. JuD was banned by UN Security Council, stating that it is a front for terror outfit LeT. Saeed, the prime accused in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks case was set free by the Lahore High Court on Wednesday, Jun 4 after six months house arrest. His release once again widen the already spoiled Indo-Pak relation.
