IB puts south India on terror alert

Hyderabad, Jun 5: Intelligence Bureau (IB) on Thursday, Jun 4 has directed the south Indian cities to be on high alert as three terrorists, age group of 30 years have entered the country and planning to strike the important cities of south India.

City police commissioner B Prasada Rao said that security has been beefed up at major hospitals and crowded places including railways and bus stations in the city.

He also said that the police have already taken up the task of searching operations in different localities in the city in view of IB inputs and urged the public to inform the police if they found any suspicious stranger who is not able to speak native language.

Rao also requested owners of the lodges and hotels to keep a watch on the movement of their customers and ascertain their identity.
