Islamabad, Jun 5: Unconfirmed media reports suggest that underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and his younger brother Anees Ibrahim were shot at in a gang war in Karachi. However the degree of injuries are yet to be confirmed.
Reports in Zee News says that Anees was attacked by some unidentified men. Atleast a dozen of bullets were shot at him, when he coming out of the ATM on Thursday, Jun 4 night. There is no confirmation about the condition of Anees Ibrahim. There are some reports in media claiming that he is shot dead.
It is suspected that the attackers belong to a rival mafia gang based in Balochistan. The Bhatti faction, a local gang that has an interest in controlling the drug trade in Pakistan. It is believed that the Bhatti gang is associated with Dawood's arch rival the Chota Rajan gang.
Dawood and Anees Ibrahim are in India's most wanted list. The duo are also among the prime accused in the 1993 Mumbai blast case.
India has been seeking their extradition along with other members of the D-gang.
