No question paper was leaked: AIIMS
New Delhi, June 1 (ANI): The All India Institute of Medical Sciences on Monday rejected reports of an alleged leak of its prestigious MBBS entrance examination's question papers.
"No absolutely, not. There is no substance in the allegations of any such leak," CNN-IBN quoted AIIMS spokesperson Y K Gupta, as saying.
Earlier, the Ghaziabad police detained three people on suspicion of the paper leak.
An AIIMS woman staffer and two girls have been detained after police allegedly recovered a set of question papers suspected to be that of AIIMS entrance test from them.
The Ghaziabad police sent the set of question papers to the AIIMS authorities for verification.
"We have received a set of papers and dispatched to AIIMS. After confirmation only we can say whether it is the medical entrance exam papers of AIIMS. We have detained one female staff of AIIMS along with other accused. It might be a case of cheating as well. More investigation needs to be done as well. There was a demand of Rs 10 lakh from the AIIMS staff for papers," said SSP Ghaziabad, Akhil Kumar.
However, the entrance test began this morning as scheduled, AIIMS Spokesperson Y K Gupta said.
The entrance exam is being conducted at nearly 100 centres across the country. (ANI)
