According to the sources privy to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the committee which is probing Asif's Dubai detention case has recommended that he should be fined two million rupees for his misadventure.

The fine is likely to be announced on June 3 after the final hearing of the committee, The News reports.

Asif, 25, was held at Dubai airport in June last year while returning home from India, and was charged with possessing a small amount of opium.
